And with the support of our members, employees and volunteers, we hope to do so for many years to come.
Our Mission: The Stark County Humane Society is a private, charitable organization is solely dependent on the generosity of our community through memberships, donations, bequests, and fund raisers. We receive no funds from any governmental entity and only receive specified individual donations from United Way.
Our shelter is open to the public every day except Wednesdays and holidays. During 2023 approximately 11,521 individuals visited the shelter. Our educational and pet therapy programs continue to thrive throughout our community. Our service for the sick and injured stray dogs and cats remains available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year. One of our top priorities remains our investigation of cruelty to animals in our county.
