President’s Report

As we say farewell to a very active and exciting Summer, we look forward to continued efforts to improve the Shelter and enhance the ability of the Stark County Humane Society (SCHS) to care for animals in need and find healthy, loving homes for our furry friends.

The Annual Fund Drive appeal, Mutt Strut and the first ever Tailgate Party and Puppy Bowl at the Pro Football Hall of Fame were enormously successfully and demonstrated the tremendous support the SCHS enjoys in the community. They provided an opportunity for our many supporters to come together, have a good time and participate in raising funds for a very worthy cause. As a private 501(c)(3) organization that receives no government funding, we depend on the community’s support and are gratified by the confidence placed in our Governing Board, Staff, Employees and Volunteers to wisely utilize the resources provided to us to create a healthy environment for sick and abandoned animals and to nurse them to health so they can find loving adoptive homes.

Knowing that the beautiful months of Fall will be followed by the challenges of Winter, we pledge that we will continue to do everything in our power to retain your support for our Mission...

“To Speak for Those Who Cannot Speak for Themselves.”
