President’s Report

As we look toward Spring and warmer weather in Northeast Ohio, we look back with pride and satisfaction at the many accomplishments and successes we experienced in our efforts to care for sick, abandoned and abused animals and to place them in loving adopted homes. The past year has seen vast improvements in the physical structure of the Shelter, in our efforts to provide the best medical attention possible for our furry friends, and in our capacity to participate in animal cruelty investigations. We anticipate more changes in the coming year.

I am both proud and humbled by the opportunity to serve as President of the Board of Directors for the next twelve months. It is an honor for me to be associated with an exemplary Board of Directors, a superb Staff, dedicated employees and exceptional volunteers whose tireless and unselfish efforts have earned the confidence of the community and established the Stark County Humane Society as the premiere animal welfare organization in Northeast Ohio.

I wish to take this opportunity to thank three Members who left the Board this past year – Lynda Young, Brian Zimmerman and Dr. Richard Wade – for all their help over many years. May they have health and success in the future.

As we begin another year of bright prospects and formidable challenges, we pledge to maintain our diligence in efforts...

"Speaking for Those Who Cannot Speak for Themselves."
