President’s Report

The first snowfall and bitterly cold winds we experienced in Mid-November serve to remind us that winters in Northeast Ohio can be brutal. Caring for sick, abandoned and stray cats and dogs in the winter months presents daunting challenges and requires firm resolve and tireless, dedicated efforts to rescue and care for them in the hope they can be adopted into loving homes.

Concerning all animals, cruelty prevention efforts on the part of the Stark County Humane Society must continue regardless of weather conditions. If we are to maintain the support of the community, we must demonstrate our ability, capacity and willingness to exhibit the experience and dedication that have made us the premiere animal welfare organization in Stark County and the surrounding areas.

As a 501(c)(3) organization that receives no government funding, we rely on the decision by our many friends and supporters in the community to ensure the vitality of the SCHS by responding generously to our requests for financial help and by participating in events such as the Reverse Raffle at Skyland Pines on February 8, 2019.

As we go through the holiday season and pursue our efforts through the first few months of the new year, we thank all of you who help us to fulfill our Mission...

"Speaking for Those Who Cannot Speak for Themselves."
