President’s Report

As we view the devastation wrought by Hurricanes Harvey and Irma and the earthquake in Mexico, we see countless instances of human beings risking their own lives to help their neighbors - and their pets - get to safety. Unforgettable and remarkable are the images of men and women, whether civilians or trained safety and military personnel, rescuing dogs, cats, rabbits, birds, horses, deer, and animals in aquariums and zoos. Whether in private residences or at animal shelters, human beings vow never to leave their furry friends behind. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all who are striving to help their fellow beings survive these deadly natural disasters.

The people of Stark County have repeatedly demonstrated their love and compassion for animals by generously supporting our efforts to renovate the Shelter, enhance our medical treatment capabilities and expand our educational and adoption outreach programs. Your support of the Reverse Raf e, the Mutt Strut and the upcoming "Chills and Thrills" fundraiser at Glenmoor Country Club on Friday, October 27, 2017, all go to support our efforts to secure loving adoptive homes for stray and abandoned cats and dogs. We appreciate your help and the con dence you have shown in our ability and dedication to fulfill the mission of...
