FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
As we approach the winter months and look forward to the holiday season and a new year, we can look back with pride concerning the efforts of our employees, volunteers, members and many supporters to improve the lives of our furry friends in Stark County. The tremendous success of our “Chills and Thrills” Fundraiser at Glenmoor in October, 2016 was a testament to the community’s support of our efforts to ensure that the Shelter facilities are safe, clean and healthy for the animals in our care and for those who visit us each day.
The year 2016 is notable as the first year under Jackie Godbey’s stewardship as Executive Director and has been one marked by innovation, imagination, infrastructure improvement and sound financial management that has reduced expenses and enhanced revenues. Our own fundraisers throughout the year, coupled with our involvement in community events and effective use of social media and television has heightened our profile in the community.
I am honored to serve on a Board of Directors that is as multi-talented and dedicated as can be found in any organization. With confidence, we look forward to 2017 and the challenges and opportunities (such as the Reverse Raffle Fundraiser on February 10, 2017) it brings for us to continue to work with our vast community of friends in Stark County to ensure that we will always...
